Daxamites are a mix of native and Kryptonian migrants who have interbred over years. Kryptonians originally discovered Daxam when they sent a group of their explorer, to find a new planet to colonise. One of the explorers, Val-Or, discovered a small sun and further exploration revealed a planet which was named after the Kryptonian who found it, Dax-Am. Daxam has since forgotten it’s Kryptonian heritage and become extremely xenophobic, therefore, space travel to Daxam is prohibited.
